As part of the shoe brand Aeyde's first jewelry collection, hoop earrings are cut into a cool silhouette

Hoop earrings have become a modern necessity in the hands of Berlin-based brand Aeyde, which is known for its shoes so far, but expanded into accessories with the launch of a new 34-piece jewelry collection. For creative director and current jewelry designer Luisa Dames, this progress is natural, and it is based on the simple contours and modern adjustments that define the brand's aesthetics.

"Our iconic aesthetic is defined by classic shapes and modern details," Dames said. 'At Aeyde, every collection is born out of a dialogue between brand and culture-this design method is usually very important for all our products. When designing the jewelry collection, I was inspired by art and the boldness, sculptures and circles of the Bauhaus era. I also found the deconstruction of the classic circle particularly exciting. The resulting hoop is more modern than traditional sculptural vortices, interweaving shapes and materials of mixed metal and juxtaposed geometric codes.

This series of earrings draws inspiration from the brand's "Leandra" women's winter boots, with a soft look. Dames said that this jewelry is made of upgraded recycled brass metal and plated with silver palladium or 18 carat gold. It is "bold, sculptural and very charitable." 'It is very important to me that when Aeyde grows into an accessory brand, all works use a consistent design language. Jewelry needs something to make it unmistakably Aeyde. So I took our beloved "Leandra" boots as inspiration. "Leandra" has this kind of slight toe kinks, on the one hand it has become Aeyde's iconic aesthetics, and at the same time, I found that this kind of kinks will bring perfect edges and modernity to the jewelry.

The concise design guidelines of German modernism are implemented in jewelry, combining form and function, putting ease of wear in the first place. "I think these references support every element of the collection-from footwear to jewelry," Dames said. §
